Reading blog post: Close reading
By using close reading in was able to
and analyze the changes of the character in the book series” Kane
Chronicles,” by Rick Riordan. But in this series there are two main characters named
Sadie and Carter Kane. They are different in ways, yet they are both able to
grow at extremely quick rate. Their growth affect their mental and emotional
state. For this reason Carter and Sadie Kane are always changing.
In the book “The Red Pyramid,” Carter and Sadie constantly
tease each other and used each other failures or actions as opportunities to
bother each. But when they are in need of aid, they able to depend on one
another’s help when needed most. For example, when Carter and Sadie just
escaping the set creature attack when Sadie was still in her less defensive bird
form. So Carter thought it would be helpful to share some of his moments with
their missing father. One of them in particular was somewhat embarrassing, and yet
his didn’t care. This shows his growth because, he is willing to do anything to
help his sister.
Another
reason why the” Kane Chronicles,” shows how two characters mature, is when Sadie
and Carter chose not to rely on the power of the Gods inside their body and to
use their only magic instead. This decision was difficult because by using that
power both were to easily accomplish task. And without it, it would be harder
to survive when they’re in danger. But
they also knew the dangers of using that power they become insane or their
bodies would burn up for overusing that power. And because they made this
choice on their own it shows the way they grown.
In
conclusion” The Kane chronicles,” written by the author Rick Riordan, show the
growth and change of both its main character minds and emotions. Both Carter
and Sadie Kane are characters who become mature and wiser as the book goes on.
This is a great example of character changes. It is like actually much like real
life because, daily people are forced to choose and decide for themselves. And
they growth every day because they learn just like characters in a book.
